Day 8: San Vicente de la Barquer to Colombres

We had breakfast and set off a little later, at 8.45, as we only had a short day ahead of us—18km. The weather was perfect.

We headed back towards the bridge and turned right. There was a long, hard climb out of San Vicente de la Barquera. In fact, today was a succession of climbs. We didn’t see the coast at all; instead, we walked through undulating hills dotted with small farms.

This looks like a domestic rabbit but it was in the middle of no where. Didn’t see any other rabbits.

We stopped for coffee at around 10km and again at 16km. From our final stop, we had one last climb into Colombres, arriving at about 1pm. We stopped for a few beers before heading to our accommodation.
