We left our accommodation at 7.30 this morning, had coffee and a napolitana at a local café, and then headed onto the Camino at 8.05
Leaving Castro Urdales is always complicate (but we passed two beech’s which were being raked, they so need to do this in Malaga)
The path hugged the motorway today as we headed towards Laredo but it was at times very dramatic.
Laredo is before the headland that is illuminated in the photo above.
There were several optional routes today, but we chose the shortest.
We did get wet a few times today as the weather was not great, however the temperature had dropped which helped.
as we approached Laredo the path took us back out to the coast and along some tricky costal paths.

After 29.34 km and 543 m of elevation, we arrived in Laredo at 2.20 pm. This brings our total over the past three days to 82.24 km with 1,504 m of elevation.
Tomorrow we head to Castillo, departing Laredo across a 5km beach taking a small ferry to Santoña. Tomorrow is short only 18km. Weather looks better.
